Happy Friday! We officially made it through the week! For some reason, the week after a holiday is always the hardest. Our household moves at a much slower pace and it’s hard to get back into the swing of things. Thankfully, it was all well worth it because our Thanksgiving was so enjoyable! My sister visited us from New York and it was so nice to spend Thanksgiving together. As a nurse on the front lines during COVID-19, the past nine months have been grueling for her, so to be able to give my sister the biggest hug meant the world to me! It was exactly what we needed after a many, many months apart.
After Turkey Day, the Black Friday/Cyber Monday online shopping is always such a fun tradition to look forward to. It can also be overwhelming and hard to navigate for sure. This year, I made a shopping plan of what I needed before the sales hit. Thankfully, many retailers launched their sales early, which was so helpful! Besides gifts for my kids, I had a few home items on my wish list! Here’s are some of the things I snagged.
- Mermaid Mixing Bowl: I have wanted a different bowl to go in my Kitchen Aid mixer for a while now! I have been wanting this mermaid scalloped bowl for a while now, and it’s currently on sale (yet full price at Crate and Barrel).
- Pendant Lights: I finally took the plunge and purchased four of these new pendant lights to go over our kitchen island. We are slowly making changes to our kitchen, little by little, and I can’t wait to add more brass accents to it!
- Sugarcoated Candle: If I had to choose one scent for the rest of my life it would be the Capri Blue Volcano candle. It’s my absolutely favorite and comes in so many cute jar variations! I thought this sugarcoated jar was so adorable!
- 100 Cookies: Holiday baking is one of my favorite parts of Christmas! Something about the magic of the season makes me want to make all the things! I picked up this book because, well, 100 different cookie recipes sounds amazing!
- Rose Latte Mugs: A little birdie tells me I might be getting something coffee related for Christmas, so I purchased these adorable latte mugs just in case! I went with the rose color, but may have to go back and take the plunge on the cream colored ones as well! I really want to add some fun, new mugs to my collection!
